The
IPL Group was founded in 1982 by its current Managing Director
Stead Denton to import and distribute computer peripheral
products. It is comprised of two companies in IPL Datron and
IPL Communication.
In a close working relationship that spans
almost two decades, IPL has built a strong and solid presence
in the Australian office technology market. Today the company
is the national distributor for some of the world’s
leading manufacturers within the IT&T industry including
Oki, Alcatel and Avaya.
Operating through a nationwide network of dealers, OEM's and
VARS, IPL has built an impressive presence in the Australian
Market. IPL’s primary responsibility as a value added
distributor is to assist and support its dealer base. The
company has a dedicated team of staff that are fully certified
and accredited to provide unrivalled sales and technical support
to its dealer network.
IPL has built its business on quality. Quality products, quality
people and quality service. This is evidenced by IPL's quality
assurance accreditation, for which it holds AS3902/ISO9002
standards. For committed resellers and satisfied end-customers
alike, the names Oki, Alcatel and Avaya are synonymous with
technological excellence, reliability, flexibility and affordability.
Most recently IPL was awarded a certificate of recognition
for its contribution to the development of the Australian
ICT industry by Senator Richard Alston, the Minister for Communications,
Information Technology and the Arts.
IPL was the first Australian company to sign a Fixed Term
Agreement with the Federal Government an agreement which recognies
their commitment to best practise and quality assurance, strong
research and export awareness. Owing to these commitments
and the strength of its product range, IPL is also an endorsed
supplier to the Government.
